Over the past few weeks we have done a pretty good job of kicking our own butts. Kem does so much more than I do, and I feel horrid when I complain, because I know this; however, when you throw your back out and every move you make feels as if someone is stabbing you repeatedly, it is hard to keep it shut. LOL
When we moved in we knew the ceiling had a leak…. based on the evidence we thought the chimney may need repair. Well, it did – total repair; replacement is repair, right? So, down comes the chimney and in goes a new streetside door (most would say it is the front door, but we view our pastures as the front yard and the streetside yard as the back yard) with front porch. The current front porch will extend the living room and master bedroom shortly, but that is a different post!
Kem has taken a week (or is that a weak) vacation over labor day to get this done before the fall rains truly set in. I will add more pics of the finished project. We are repurposing some roofing from the area that we want to make a greenhouse and want to coat the entire roof white. The summers of GA make under the green roof about 105 degrees… not good for me or my critters.
