I profess ignorance to the world of blogging 🙂 I started, more or less, on a whim because people kept asking us to give them pictures, or how things were going. So, when Project Patrol asked if I would accept the Liebster award for new bloggers,
As we puttered about this weekend (still feeling the effects of last weeks flu bug) we were greeted with the reality that spring has sprung.
This weekend (well most of last week and this weekend thanks to snow) Kem worked his butt off… this is nothing new, but last night when we finally sat down for dinner around 8PM he said, “I finally feel like we have a home”.
As I am typing this I find myself ‘waxing philosophical’. I have been complaining how ‘cold’ it has been and I remember why we 1) moved from MT so many years ago – 70 below wind chills and my 1st grader was expected to stand at a bus stop…
While we primarily moved here for the purpose of self-sustainability (to the point where it still makes sense to us…), we also wanted to have a way for Kem to “not work” – well to not GO to an off property work place every day. At this present time he commutes about 75 miles daily…
First let me say I am SO happy we shop at Kroger! Granted I want to stop needing to shop anywhere for the most part, but $0.70 off per gallon of gas made this weekend a treat! The truck needed gas and we filled it up for $1.179 a gallon. YEAH BUDDY!!
1) We have Amy back… one of the pups didn’t think she belonged. Who knew that a mini horse sized Pit Bull would let a 6 month old puppy boss her around. LOL, but that is okay – we really missed her! Not so much the chaos of 4 dogs under the age of 2…
This past 10 days have been very busy!
We are extremely pleased that Amy went to her forever home with a friend that has trained/raised around a dozen pit bulls. She will have a puppy (maybe 6 months old) brother and sister (same litter) with her for company with a large fenced yard to play in. Life is good.
I have been extremely errant in maintaining my posts, I apologize. I cannot blame it on any one thing – except my inability to just sit down and do it. ;/
So, even though I abhor “New Year’s Resolutions” as something that is meant to set people up for failure, I made one (of sorts) to myself to post a minimum of one time per week…. so here goes.
